Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute Honors Professor Robert A. Schwartz

Kolkata’s premier cancer center, welcomed a distinguished visitor, Professor Robert A. Schwartz, on December 13, 2015 [Figure 1]. The institute was formally inaugurated by Professor Madam J. Curie in 1950 and is a cancer treatment facility with faculty also active in basic and clinical research. Professor Schwartz was received by Professor Jaydip Biswas MBBS, MS, FRCS Edin, FACS, who is Institute Director. Professor Jaydip is also Head of Surgical Oncology and Medical Oncology and of Clinical and Translational Research at the Institute. Professor Schwartz’ well‐received lecture was on cutaneous markers of internal malignancy after being greeted by banners and a speech by Professor Biswas, who reviewed Professor Schwartz’ many accomplishments.
